Investors in Community (IIC), a national platform to manage giving has joined The Family Business Network as an official partner

Investors in Community is a digital platform which enables you to engage, choose, manage and promote your Corporate Social Responsibility activities for Charities, Organisations and Individuals.

The founder, Phil Webb started IIC when it was clear that the third sector relationships with business was largely disorganised and there was nothing to drive the social contributions between the three pillars of giving – companies, individuals and good causes. With a national presence the platform is an easily accessible one stop-shop to benchmark, record, evidence and report on a company’s CSR and enables individuals and the businesses to accrue a Community Credits value score.

Sue Howorth, founder and co-director of The Family Business Network said, “Family businesses, by their nature, have strong roots in their communities which is an integral part of their own business growth and sustainability. To work and engage with a partner who can help record and measure the valuable contribution and support that is giving back to charities and projects, is something that is creating value for our family businesses which is integral to the work we do as part of The Family Business Network.

Fellow director of The Family Business Network, Dave Clarkson added, “There has never been a greater time or need for recognising social impact and we know our family businesses are very generous with their time and support towards charities and local community initiatives. To have a partner like IIC with us that can help record the impact made will help us create even more positive news stories about the social good our families bring to their communities.”

On the new partnership, Phil Webb commented, “We were guests at the North West Family Business Awards and witnessed first-hand the power and energy from all the family businesses in the room – it was fantastic. Our ambition is simple, we want every business and every charity on our platform working together for the benefit of society and we believe The Family Business Network and their empowered and trusted community will be able to help us unite and highlight every family working with a good cause”.
