Award-winning financial services provider raises thousands for charity

Every year, network partner Rachael Bell Wealth Management commits to fundraise for a chosen charity by holding multiple fundraising and awareness building events.

In 2019 they supported the Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw.  Abigail O’Brien of Rachael Bell Wealth Management said, “We are very proud to have supported Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw  this year. Eden Valley Hospice provide palliative care for people with incurable or life limiting illnesses in Cumbria. The staff go above and beyond to fulfil their inpatients wishes and to help create memories that their loved ones can treasure.”

Earlier this year the Carlisle-based business held a Race Day at Carlisle Racecourse in aid of the Hospice. The team at the Carlisle Racecourse helped to ensure that a fantastic welcome greeted the guests and that the event was a success. Speaking about the event, Abigail said, “Not only did we have a fantastic day but those who attended really did get behind Eden Valley Hospice and we raised an incredible £5,690.”

Another of their charitable events was held on the 3rd of September, when Rachael Bell Wealth Management joined forces with Burnetts and The Cumberland and held an Inter- Professional Golf Day at Close House.  Abigail commented, “Everyone had their ‘competitive heads on’ for the bragging rights of saying that they were the winning team. Each team raised funds for their chosen charity, we are pleased to have raised a total of £4,510 for Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw.”

Abigail further commented, “We are delighted to announce that “The Rock Youth Project” is our 2020 charity of the year.  The work that they do to help and support the children in socially and economically deprived areas is amazing. The charity provides a warm and safe place to go on an evening by running youth clubs for children from Currock, Harraby and Upperby, which come at no cost to attend. The staff give the children care and attention that they may not receive at home as well as teaching the children basic life skills such as cooking and gardening.”

“The Rock launched their fundraising challenge on Wednesday 30th October. At the moment the Rock resides in damp sheds, this does not dampen the spirit of all those involved but a new purpose built premises is crucial for the charity to continue. The challenge is to raise the requisite £180,000 for their dream of a safe haven for children in desperate need to come true.”

“Throughout 2020 we will hold different events to support the Rock Youth Project and help to make their aspirations come true. Keep your eyes peeled for our annual Race Day as well as our office Queen- Gemma Brodie skydiving.”

We wish the team all the best with their incredible fundraising efforts for 2020!
