Family businesses invited to get under the skin of engineering in Barrow.

This April marks the return of our well-loved on-site Cumbria Family Business Insight events, with Tony Keen of SN Group.

Wednesday 26th April 2017

09:45 – 12:30

Unit 1, Peter Green Way. Barrow- in Furness, Cumbria LA14 2PE

Cumbrian family businesses are invited to a personal insight and tour around Barrow-based engineering firm SN Group on 26th April. SN Group forms a key part of the supply chain of UK and International manufacturing and engineering organisations.

These Insight events help share best practice between family businesses in a safe and enlightening environment, allowing family businesses to learn from their peers. They are always an enjoyable event and are free to attend.

Established in 1935 Scurrah Nassau prides itself on an unparalleled reputation for prompt support and service 24hrs a day, 365 days a year. Undertaking major contracts for companies in all industry sectors including Shipbuilding, Oil and Gas, Power Generation, Nuclear and Construction.

MD Tony Keen has driven the business forward dramatically over the last five years, forging strong relationships with businesses ranging from BAE and MOD to regional construction firms. Tony left Centrica in 2011 to take over his father’s companies Scurrah Nassau and St Andrews Engineering which was established in 1935. Tony rebranded the businesses to become SN Group and acquired Sub-Tech systems in 2013 and Ropax in 2014 as part of his competitive growth plan.

Tony has also worked hard to forge strong links with the local community and last year became a trustee for the Cumbria Community Foundation. Andy Beeforth OBE will be discussing their connection and involvement with Tony as part of this Family Business Insight event.

My work through the Cumbria Family Business Network and as Family Business Ambassador has allowed me to get to know so many fascinating family businesses and I look forward to another enlightening event in the South of the county. The event is free to attend, but spaces are limited. Please reserve your place now by emailing [email protected] or phoning 015394 82410.
