Grange-over-Sands based Butchers and Pie Makers, Higginsons of Grange have been announced as finalists in the 2019 Cumbria Life Food & Drink Awards.
Every year the awards celebrate and promote the fantastic array of talented people that work within the food, catering and hospitality sector in Cumbria.
As previous winners of the reader-nominated ‘Special Award for Lifetime Achievement’ in 2016, this year the family-owned Higginson’s Butchers have been selected as a finalist in the ‘Specialist Retailer/Supplier’ category by an independent panel of judges.
Mark Porter, General Manager of Higginsons said “We are over the moon to receive this nomination. It’s really a tribute to the team that we have here who work hard to keep our business at the top of our game. We never stop looking for
ways to improve our offering and of course for new and exciting products, so it’s great to be recognised for our efforts”.
Higginsons are well known across Cumbria and beyond for their legendary hand-made Pies, speciality local meats, award-winning Sausages and home-cured Bacon.
The winners will be announced during the awards ceremony on Thursday 21st March at Kendal College, by food and drink broadcaster Nigel Barden.
